Sorry I've been MIA

I know, I know, I'm no longer working 40-50 hours per week, so you'd think that I could find the time to at least update my blog.  Well, turns out being unemployed (*ahem* being a full-time Mom) eats up a lot of free time.  I'm not sure how it works, but I'm thinking it has something to do with having my husband home every night.  Yes, that's right, spending time with my husband actually does trump blogging....for now (I'm sure the novelty will wear off).
In spite of my lack of blogging (and facebooking, and emailing), I have been quite busy knitting.  I recently took a class at a local knitting shop to learn how to knit Fair Isle and I am in love! I promise I'll blog about it very soon.  I've also completed a skirt of each of my girls that I'm about to block tonight, so one they are done blocking, I'll post pics. 

While I desperately miss my sewing machine, I'm enjoying my hiatus to get reaquainted with the knitter in me.  I used to laugh at my crafting ADD, but now I am very thankful I dabble in so many things.  If it were not for my knitting (and crocheting), I'd be going crazy sans my sewing machine.  My point: if you've ever considered taking up a portable craft like knitting and crocheting, DO IT!  Its pretty easy to get started and you'll never know when it'll come in handy!
